Information Regarding the Internships
| ANNOUNCEMENT DUE TO CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC |

| Students who want to do internship during the pandemic period can perform their online or face-to-face internship studies in accordance with the following rules and process. In case of an internship in the summer, the facilities provided by the Internship Arrangements can be benefited due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. |
All electrical and electronics engineering students must work as an intern in order to understand the professional work environments, application of the knowledge gained in school to practice and gain access to such environments. Out of the two internship, each 20 workdays, first shall be completed at the end of the sophomore (2nd) year and the second at the end of the junior (3rd) year.

Starting with the 2019-2020 Academic Year Summer term, the internship application and admission process has started to be carried out through the online system (SIS). Although the forms to be filled in on the web are accepted, it is preferred to apply via SIS, which is described as the new system in the table below.

Finding internship | Students can obtain the documents needed regarding the indication of Social Security Institution (SSI) operations will be done by the university, from the faculty secretariat. | Our students can produce the document that the SSI entrance and exit will be made by our university for their compulsory or voluntary internship via SIS. |
| 2. Getting approval of the department | Getting approval of internship institution and department from internship program coordinator. | 3. Getting approval of the internship institution | After the approval of the internship coordinator, print out the form and get the approval of the internship institution. | |

Uploading the internship acceptance and approval form to the system | Upload the form signed by the department and the institution to the system for which the related link is provided at the internship web page. | Scan the form approved by the firm and upload it to the "upload internship application and acceptance form link" in SIS. Keep the original form to include in your internship file. |
| 5. SSI operations | The fourth item must be completed by the student no later than 5 days before the internship start date. Before 2020 Summer: The student SSI recruitment declaration from MEF Human Resources Office is shared by email. New: Students can access SSI recruitment declaration form via SIS. |

| Institution internship evaluation form | The form provided at the internship web page is filled and signed by the internship institution. Students must deliver the form in a sealed and stamped envelope to the department. | The link to the evaluation form produced by SIS is sent to the internship institution. After filling out the online form, the institution gives the student a printout of the in a closed envelope. If the connection does not reach the institution, the institution can fill in an empty form (Turkish or English) manually and give it to the student in a closed envelope. Before the 2019-2020 Academic Year Summer Semester, the internship application and approval process was carried out as follows.
Students should follow the process described below:
- Finding internship (Students can obtain the documents needed regarding the indication of Social Security Institution (SSI) operations will be done by the university, from the faculty secretaria.)
- Getting approval of internship institution and departmant from internship program coordinator. (Internship application form will be sent to you by email after filling the form in the link. Print out and sign it to the internship coordinator. Internship Application and Acceptance Form (in Turkish))
- Approval of internship institution
- Uploading the form that is signed by the departmant and the institution to the link given below (at least 5 days before from the beginning date of the internship).
- Completion of SSI processes (Occupational Health and Safety Law)
