İ. Engin Türe
Professor

After graduating from the Department of Engineering Physics, Ankara University in 1969 he worked as a research scientist at Ankara Nuclear Research Center until 1977. During the period of 1972-1973 he has been a research staff for a year at Birmingham University (UK) in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. After 1977 he has served for 3 years as a lecturer at the Middle East Technical University and then he went to Durham University (UK)  in 1980, where he worked as a research assistant and at the same time completed his PhD in 1984. He continued to work at the Durham University in a postdoctoral research capacity until September 1985. In 1985 he joined the General Electric Co. as a semiconductor laser group leader at the Hirst Research Centre, London. In September 1988 he started to work at UMIST (Manchester) as a project coordinator. Following his return to Turkey in 1990, he first worked at Gaziantep University and later joined the Marmara Research Centre-TUBİTAK as head of the Energy Department in 1992.  In 1998 he was appointed as a professor at Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul and worked as Head of Physics Department until 2004. Following his early retirement he was appointed as an associate director to UNIDO-International Centre for Hydrogen Energy Technologies in 2005, where he later served as the director of the centre until 2008. In the same year he joined Halic University as the Rector of the university and worked until 2010. At the same year Dr. Ture established his own company ARENTEK (Advanced RENewable TEChnologies and continued  his research until 2014. Dr. Ture worked as a full-time professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at MEF University from 2018 to 2020.  
 
Dr. Ture has more than 50 publications mostly in international journals and conferences and has received over 500 citations to his works. He has also been given over 40 invited talks around 30 countries. 

Research Interests: Physical electronics, semiconductor devices, MOS integrated circuits, radiation detectors, optical communication systems, lasers, photovoltaic devices, renewable energies, hydrogen energy, fuel cells.

Çağatay Uluışık (Doğuş University)
Associate Professor

Çağatay ULUIŞIK was born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1974. He graduated from the German High School in 1993 with an Abitur degree. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 1998. In 2002, he received the M.Sc. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Institute of Science and Technology. He obtained the PhD degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Institute of Science and Technology in 2008.
 
He was formerly a staff engineer at the Istanbul Technical University Foundation / Centre for Defense Studies (1997-2002). He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at Doğuş University. Since 2011 he is the Assist. Head of the Electronics and Communications Engineering Department of Doğuş University. He is a member of the Faculty Board and a member of the Faculty Administrative Board since 2010 and 2016, respectively.
 
He is the author of 14 papers published in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journals, in three of which he was the single author. He presented his scientific work in 7 international and 2 national conferences. His publications are cited 116 times (excluding self-citations).
 
Çağatay ULUIŞIK served as a referee in scientific of journals. He worked as a researcher in important Europian Union and TUBİTAK projects. He also participated as a referee and observer in TÜBİTAK ve KOSGEB Projects. Since 2015 he is a senior member of IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). In 2007, he received the Leopold B. Felsen Award for Excellence in Electrodynamics bestowed by the Leopold B. Felsen Fund, USA.

Research Interests: Electromagnetic theory, antennas and propagation.

Levent Ucun (Yıldız Technical University)
Assistant Professor

Levent Ucun was born in Istanbul, in 1982. He obtained Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University in 2005. He received Master and Ph.D. degrees in Control and Automation Program, Electrical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University Institute of Science and Technology in 2007 and 2012, respectively. Between August 2012 and March 2013, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Czech Technical University, Department of Control and Automation Engineering. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Control and Automation Engineering Department, Yildiz Technical University, Turkey. His research interests are mainly in the areas of frequency domain system identification, linear system theory and robust control.

Research Interests: Frequency domain system identification, linear system theory, robust control.

Atilla Uygur (Gebze Technical University)
Assistant Professor

Atilla Uygur was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1980. He received his B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Istanbul Technical University in 2003. M.S and Ph.D. degrees from the same institution in 2006 and 2013 respectively. He was awarded with Siemens Excellence Award for his master’s thesis in 2006. He was a visiting scholar at Crypto Group in Universite´ Catholique de Louvain, Belgium in 2011. He was an Assistant Professor in Beykent University, Electronics and Communication Engineering Department in 2015. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Gebze Technical University, Electronics Engineering Department. His research interests include Analog IC, active and passive filters.

Research Interests: Analog circuit design and applications.

Onur Erkan (Vodafone Turkey)
Telecom Professional | Project Manager

Onur Erkan was born in Istanbul, in 1983. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University in 2007. He received the M.Sc. degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Doğuş University, Institute of Science and Technology in 2013. In 2019, he obtained the Ph.D. degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Institute of Science and Technology. He worked as a microwave transmission design engineer in several telecommunication companies. Since 2010 he has been working as a senior engineer of technology division in Vodafone Turkey. He currently serves as a project manager for fiber optics network projects and manages fiber optics investment plans in Vodafone Turkey.

Research Interests: Photonic bandgap structures, electromagnetic wave propagation in periodic structures, optical communication systems
